‘I wasn’t happy with myself’ i played like Harry Maguire of Manchester United i will do my best in the Champions League😥- ‘Perfect’ £41m Man City player openly admits he was really poor against Wolves
Nathan Ake, a Manchester City defender, stated that his performance against Wolves was subpar.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the £41 million (Independent) man provided an honest assessment of his performance in his team’s 2-1 loss on Saturday.
Nathan Ake did not hide the fact that his performance against Wolves was one of his most disappointing in a Manchester City shirt.
Nathan Ake, the Manchester City colossus, says he wasn’t good enough against Wolves.
The Dutchman, dubbed ‘nearly perfect’ by Jamie Carragher, was outpaced in the build-up to the hosts’ first at the Molineux Stadium by Pedro Neto.
Despite the first goal, Ake was trying to keep up with Neto’s fast feet and blistering pace.
Nathan Ake placed his hands up after Manchester City were defeated by Wolves and admitted that he was not at his best.
“They had numerous counter-attacks, which we should have stopped.” I should have intervened. On a couple occasions, I could have done far better. “I will definitely look at myself first before looking at anyone else,” he stated.
“But I think overall, we could have done much better,” Nathan Ake said of Manchester City’s performance against Wolves. Yes, it was [an overall dismal performance], but I always looked in the mirror and wasn’t satisfied with myself. So that’s first and foremost, and the team as a whole should have done better as well, but obviously, I’ll start with myself.”
“On a few occasions, I believe I could have done better.” First half goal, obviously lucky that he still had it when I tackled him, but generally in these situations I get the ball and I didn’t.”
Nathan Ake is now focused on moving ahead following his awful performance against Wolves, adding, “It’s upsetting. It’s about how you pick yourself up and go again when you have games like that.”
