Former Chelsea manager Graham Potter is about to become the manager of one of the biggest clubs in the world

Graham Potter, who was fired by Chelsea in April, is finally ready for an unexpected new job.

Graham Potter was fired by Todd Boehly from Chelsea six months ago despite appearing to be close to turning around the situation at Stamford Bridge.

Potter appeared to be the victim of the American owner’s trigger finger, much like Thomas Tuchel before him, and he was sacked before he had really gotten going in the post.

We’ll just have to wait and see what happens to Mauricio Pochettino, but Boehly has undoubtedly already learned his lesson given that his old method of operation was obviously unsustainable.

The six months that Potter has spent in a sort of football wilderness will almost definitely have sharpened his focus on what he intends to achieve next, and it appears that the 48-year-old has been offered with a surprise opportunity.

Potter is reportedly on the list of Rudi Garcia’s replacements at defending Serie A champions Napoli, according to Foot Mercato.

According to the source, board members have been calling for Aurelio de Laurentiis to fire Garcia because the players have allegedly become weary of their manager.

Potter faces competition for the position, though, as Marcelo Gallardo and Igor Tudor are also mentioned as Garcia’s potential replacements. Garcia is probably going to be fired after only four months in command.

It will be a huge accomplishment for the former Chelsea player if he is the final guy standing in this specific race.
