“He shouldn’t be allowed back on the training ground next week, he completed JUST 6 passes, lost Possession x9 and had less touches than the goalkeeper”- A Manchester City Fans has warned Pep Guardiola to get rid of one of his players who will not allow him to win the Champions league

Nathan Ake, a Manchester City defender, had another difficult night as he performed poorly for the Netherlands against France.

The Dutchman entered the current international break following a difficult period for City.

After critiquing his own performance in the club’s 2-1 loss to Wolves, the defender was subsequently engaged in an unlucky deflection that resulted in Arsenal defeating the triple winners 1-0 last weekend.

However, the 28-year-old was involved in another defeat when the Netherlands were defeated 2-1 by France in their latest Euro 2024 qualifying match.

After the Netherlands’ defeat, Ake was dealt yet another setback.

In terms of individual performance, the City player played 80 minutes before being replaced by Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven.

Ake lost possession nine times during his time on the pitch, with only 45 of his 52 attempted passes finding their intended target.

While his attempts on the ball were not up to the standards that Pep Guardiola expects from his players on this occasion, the Dutchman was able to demonstrate his defensive capabilities.

Overall, the triple winner received a 6.6/10 match rating from SofaScore, with Football Oranje stating in their player ratings article that this was “not his finest game” for the Netherlands.

While the City star has definitely had a difficult few weeks, he will need to ensure that he can turn his form around and help his team go back to winning ways once the international break is over.
