Manchester City Outcast Kelvin Phillips Sends Pep Guardiola a warning message in an interview yesterday

After the international break, Manchester City will be ready to start defending their Premier League title.

After losing to Wolves and Arsenal back-to-back, Pep Guardiola and his star-studded team will be even more motivated when they return to local matters on Saturday afternoon. City’s next game is at the Etihad Stadium against Brighton.

A lot of players have been playing for their countries in the last week or so. Five guys played for England against Italy on Tuesday night, and John Stones is making faster progress in his recovery from injury.

Kalvin Phillips said that his lacklustre play for England in their win over Italy was due to not getting enough playing time for City so far this season. He also said that he might have to “make a decision” soon about his future.

The Three Lions came back from being down to beat Luciano Spalletti’s team 3-1 at Wembley and make it to the European Championships in Germany next summer. After going down a goal early on (15 minutes), Gareth Southgate’s team scored three goals in a row, two from Harry Kane and one from Manchester United star Marcus Rashford.

Rodri has said that he will not be moving to Saudi Arabia like some other big stars from Europe.

Rodri, a defender, was very important for City, but they lost all three games while he was suspended for three games for a red card he got last month. Rodri played again for Spain during the international break, helping them qualify for Euro 2024. He will then come back into the City lineup against Brighton.

Rodri was asked by Spanish media if he would think about going back to his home country or to another place after his time at City is over. He joined City from Atletico Madrid in 2019 and has been there ever since. The 27-year-old, who is under contract at the Etihad Stadium until 2027, made it clear that he was committed to City.
