Reece James, the captain of Chelsea, posted a three-word statement on Instagram implying that he is prepared to play again against Arsenal. Football.london is aware that it’s “too early” to say for sure if he’ll be ready to play against Arsenal on Saturday afternoon.

Despite not being well enough to play, the England international served his one-match suspension against Burnley last time around. James’ rehabilitation program is going well, but the Blues haven’t made a decision yet, as football.london reported last week.

But before Saturday’s match against Arsenal, the captain of Chelsea has been sighted working with the rest of Mauricio Pochettino’s team this week. This means that James is a possibility to play against the Gunners, although it’s unclear if Pochettino will put him back in the game right away following such a long layoff.

After serving his three-match suspension for getting red carded against Aston Villa, Malo Gusto is back in action. James’ influence at both ends of the field makes his return to fitness a significant plus for Chelsea. Ahead of their match on Saturday afternoon at Stamford Bridge, James has already sent a warning to the Gunners.

James shared a photo of himself working out at Chelsea with the words, “Against all odds.” His post follows rumors that surfaced this week that he would miss the match against the Gunners due to a setback in his hamstring recuperation.

The Chelsea captain, though, seems to have made a hint that he would be ready as he works to improve his agility in training. Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez returned to Cobham during the international break, but they did not participate in training.

Due to injuries they sustained this week, Carney Chukwuemeka and Trevoh Chalobah will not be able to play against Arsenal this weekend.
