Rodri has drawn a comparison between Manchester City’s rapid talent Jeremy Doku and Bayern Munich’s forward Leroy Sane. In an interview with Simon Bajkowski of the Manchester Evening News, the Spanish international expressed his opinion on the Belgian winger, who delivered four assists and a goal in an outstanding performance against Bournemouth.
Following Manchester City’s dominant 6-1 victory, Rodri likened Doku to Sane, describing him as “fantastic.”
Doku, a 21-year-old rising star, has seamlessly adapted to life at City, exhibiting exceptional dribbling skills and an often overlooked ability to create opportunities. According to Rodri, Doku possesses a similar playing style to Leroy Sane, providing the team with much-needed speed on the flanks.
Rodri acknowledged the importance of understanding the game and being a team player, traits that Doku has demonstrated.
Rodri believes that Doku has the potential to match or even surpass Sane’s achievements. Currently, Doku is considered one of the most in-form wingers globally, despite Sane’s mixed experiences at the Allianz Arena.
As long as Doku continues to develop his skills under Pep Guardiola’s guidance, the sky’s the limit for his future.
