Cole Palmer really walked into Man City’s huddle and was pushed away by Erling Haaland
In an instant Premier League classic, Cole Palmer struck a penalty in injury time to steal a point for Chelsea against his old team, Manchester City.
Erling Haaland’s penalty, controversially awarded by referee Anthony Taylor, gave the visitors the lead. However, Chelsea quickly levelled thanks to a header from Thiago Silva at a corner. And they were ahead when Sterling finished off a cross from Reece James at the back post.
However, in first-half stoppage time, Manuel Akanji equalised with a header of his own, quickly pegging the hosts back. Haaland got his second goal shortly after the half by slipping in to convert a cross from Julian Alvarez, but Nicolas Jackson, continuing his hot streak, gave Chelsea a response.
