Erling Haaland, a striker for Manchester City, sustained an ankle injury while playing for Norway on international duty.
The 23-year-old was injured with only a few minutes left in a friendly encounter that his team ultimately won 2-0. He had entered the game off the bench.
Ola Sand, the team physician for Norway, made a suggestion that the player had hurt the same ankle on which he had previously experienced problems.
According to Vg, Sand disclosed: “He has a minor twist in his ankle, which makes him somewhat vulnerable.” It aches a great deal at first, but it passes really soon. Then, tomorrow, we’ll check in to see how he is.
With his dominant form, Haaland has carried over from last season, scoring 17 goals in 18 appearances across all competitions so far this year.
Haaland’s potential absence might make it more difficult for City to repeat as champions.
