“You are not a world class player, so we will not pay more than 80m for an average striker Take it or leave it”
A Chelsea official hopes to sign a player for €120 million – walexsports.com
Approaching the January transfer window, one of Chelsea’s owners is said to have been quite clear about who and when he wants to sign players.
At least, that is what a thorough report on Chelsea’s pursuit of a striker today claims.
The Subtsack website of Chelsea insider Simon Phillips has posted his most recent updates today. He focuses on some extremely intriguing tidbits on strikers, including new information on Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
“I am aware that a powerful member of the Chelsea organisation desires Victor Osimhen as their new striker as soon as feasible,” Phillips wrote.
The identity of the Chelsea hierarchy member is not stated, although it is assumed to be either Todd Boehly or Behdad Eghbali.
Naturally, Chelsea’s hiring process currently includes a large number of decision-makers in addition to the two principal shareholders. Therefore, even though one of the present owners is certain about what they would like to see, the choice of a new striker will be made collectively!
Transfermrkt presently values Osimhen at €120 million.
