There are rumours circulating that as many as five names might be considered for the position of Chelsea manager going forward, given the uncertainty surrounding his future at Stamford Bridge.

The first person on the list is Roberto De Zerbi, the Seagulls’ manager, who has been incredibly remarkable in raising the team’s performance even above what Potter achieved before being hired by Chelsea. But would the west Londoners want to face the chance of repeating the same error by going after Brighton for their manager now that they’ve been stung by the Potter appointment?
Arne Slot of Feyenoord is also suggested as a possibility; the Dutchman was already in demand throughout the summer after appearing to be the front-runner for the Tottenham position at one stage. He ultimately made the decision to remain at Feyenoord, but it is likely that a larger team in a more competitive league will sign him soon.
