Rafael Leao, the AC Milan winger, was rumoured to be a top Chelsea target about a year ago.
Chelsea instead signed Mykhailo Mudryk in place of the Portuguese star. Nonetheless, it’s evident that Leao has a soft spot for at least one Chelsea player.
In an interview with Sky Italia, the 24-year-old was asked to identify his current world XI.
Despite Chelsea’s struggles, they were one of the few clubs represented: Leao chose Thiago Silva to anchor his defensive line alongside Manchester City’s Ruben Dias.
Silva is still Chelsea’s rock at the back, though at 39, he won’t be for long.
