Former Real Madrid Coach Zinedine Zidane is set to become the manager of this Premier League club
After departing Real Madrid for the second time in 2021, Zinedine Zidane has not been involved in management; nevertheless, the Frenchman may be open to returning soon.
In the past few years, “Zizou” has been connected to a number of prestigious positions, but he has stayed on leave to wait his turn and recharge.
He has been linked to Real Madrid, Juventus, Manchester United, and France in the meantime.
Now that he has been away from the field for two years, Zidane has hinted at a potential comeback to coaching.
The football great talked about feeling “refreshed” after being “disconnected” for two years in an interview with “GQ.”
For France, Zidane?
“I’ve said many times that when you play for France then become a coach, it’s logical that you think about it, but now is not the time,” Zidane remarked.
Although it may not be the right moment for the national squad, it might be time to return to the game after a two-year hiatus. Zidane has acknowledged his need for a break and his general need for relaxation.
“My mind was always back at work when I got home. Everything in this line of work comes at you from all directions’, Zidane remarked.
You become overwhelmed by the amount of information available to you and are left to make all of the decisions. It truly consumes all of your energy.
“I need to take a vacation from time to time—I’ve done it twice already. A coach never quits and is in control of twenty-three players.
I’m just loving life right now. By taking a step back, you can do anything. Although my life constantly moves quickly, I feel renewed right now.”
Not a moment’s rest for a father
Zidane also discussed how difficult it was to get enough sleep while he was a professional athlete and had two little children.
