“When will you stop crying and blaming the Referee” Chelsea manager Pochettino gives his own view Gusto red card argument after claims by Fulham manager
Mauricio Pochettino has reacted to the issue over Malo Gustoโs challenge on Willian during Saturdayโs 1-0 win against Fulham.
Cole Palmer gave Chelsea the lead just before halftime, but not before Gusto seemed to put a foot on Willian.
Anthony Taylor, the centre referee, gave the Frenchman a yellow card for the challenge, but some Fulham supporters felt it should have been a red.
In a post-match interview, Fulham coach Marco Silva made the same assertion, although Pochettino openly acknowledged that the Chelsea player’s tackle was poor.
“I value his viewpoint. I’m not sure if they check, but it was a tough challenge for the officials and the VAR’, Pochettino said to TNT Sports.
Alright. I’ll say anything, even though I acknowledge that maybe.I can’t say too much because I haven’t seen the camera or all the angles, but it was a red card. See, that’s football.
