The Supercomputer that predicted Argentina to win the World Cup in 2022 has finally predicted where Manchester City will finish this Season
Manchester City are expected to win the Premier League for the fourth time in a row, despite trailing Liverpool by five points.
The Blues have hit a purple patch just in time as they aim to perfect their run. City has not lost in the Premier League since the beginning of December, and such performances have propelled them over Arsenal and Aston Villa.
Following this weekend’s FA Cup match against Tottenham Hotspur, City will have a fortunate run of matches as they prepare to return to the Champions League in mid-February, where they will face Chelsea. According to an OLBG analysis, the Blues will win the Premier League by three points.
They are projected to lose no more games between now and the end of the Premier League season, despite having to go to Anfield and play Mikel Arteta’s side at the Etihad. The supercomputer predicts Jurgen Klopp’s team will finish second, with Arsenal third, seven points behind City.
Aston Villa are poised to take the final Champions League position, finishing eight points clear of Tottenham Hotspur in fifth. City, on the other hand, will have their sights set on the English Premier League title.
When discussing the title competition last month, Pep Guardiola was careful not to get ahead of himself. He told reporters, “So tight – we’re not top of the league; Liverpool are better.”
“We’ve had injuries and challenges, but we’ve won significant titles, our level is high, and we’re there. Now, rest; we all need it. January is less intense than November and December, so we plan for what comes next.”
