Paul Merson believes Erik ten Hag will be sacked after three games at Manchester United.

Erik ten Hag has been informed that he only has three games to save his job at Manchester United, following accusations that the Dutchman has lost the support of 50% of the squad.

With Manchester United having now lost ten of their 21 matches this season, Sky Sports reported on Monday evening that their players were bored of the Dutchman’s methods, which TEAMtalk exclusively reported on at the beginning of November.

With the club’s greatest players unable to perform to their full potential, Ten Hag’s condition appears to be deteriorating as the season progresses. And, while United officials had said nothing in public, there seems to be an understanding that he would be permitted to carry on with his work for now.

However, the most recent report from Sky Sports paints a different image, with main reporter Karveh Solhekol stating: “Some of the players are confused about what is happening, and he [Ten Hag] has lost elements of the dressing room.” Approximately 50% of the dressing room.

“Several players are dissatisfied with the manner of play. They believe they are training too hard and running too much during training. Players have no idea what they are running for.

“Some players believe he’s too set in his ways, too robotic. And quite a few players are dissatisfied with how Jadon Sancho has been treated, believing it has gone too far.

That treatment of Sancho, however, is only the tip of the iceberg, with older players dissatisfied with not only the results, but also with his training methods and strategies.
