Man UTD manager Erig Ten Hag broke down in tears after Key Manchester United player who is undropable for Manchester United has been injured in training this afternoon.

Rasmus Hojlund is injured and will miss the next two or three weeks of Manchester United’s season.

The club released the bad news ahead of Erik ten Hag’s press conference, which is set to take place in the next hour.

In a season already plagued by extraordinary injury issues, this hammer blow will leave Erik ten Hag with no senior striker in his side.

Apparently, Hojlund strained a muscle during training.

He will miss tomorrow’s home game against Fulham and Wednesday’s FA Cup match against Nottingham Forest.

Then there’s the Manchester derby on Sunday and a home game against Everton the following weekend.

The penultimate match Hojlund could miss is a home game against Sheffield United on March 16th, prior to the international break.

The news will be distressing for the young Dane, who has seven goals in his past six games and has been unstoppable for United during their unbeaten streak in 2024.

Anthony Martial, the only other striker in the senior squad, is currently three weeks into his own 10-week hiatus.

Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw have already been ruled out for several weeks, and with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tyrell Malacia, and Mason Mount still sidelined, Ten Hag will once again struggle to field a matchday squad of 20 healthy senior players in the coming weeks.

As new owners INEOS take over Old Trafford’s football operations, one of their first tasks will undoubtedly be to conduct an investigation into what is going on in the fitness and medical departments. What appeared to be a hangover from playing too many games last season now appears to be something more engrained as injuries continue to pile up.
