An announcement has been made by a top player for Manchester United that he will not be playing under Erik ten Hag

Mason Greenwood’s likely departure from Manchester United in the forthcoming summer transfer window fuels speculation about the club’s player exodus, with Jadon Sancho emerging as one of the names connected with a move at the conclusion of the season.

Sancho’s rocky history with Manchester United saw him return to Borussia Dortmund on loan in January following a split with boss Ten Hag, which had kept him out of the Red Devils’ squad since August.

According to BILD, Sancho has no desire to return to Old Trafford in the summer, potentially ending his time at the English club if Ten Hag continues in charge next season.

Sancho blames Ten Hag for his career slump and is apparently unwilling to play under his guidance again.

With Dortmund’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl eager to keep Sancho in Germany, the idea of another loan spell at Dortmund for the upcoming season has emerged.

According to reports, Sancho may have to accept a lower wage to extend his stay at Dortmund, as the club may be unable to match his current earnings at Manchester United.

While Sancho’s contract with Manchester United is up until 2026, with the option to extend until 2027, his unclear future raises concerns about his time at the club.

The position presents a quandary for both Sancho and Manchester United, since another loan move may not suit either party.

With Manchester United’s new co-owners contemplating major investments in the forthcoming transfer window, Sancho’s departure might free up funds for reinforcements while also relieving the strain of his high salaries.

However, given Sancho’s lacklustre performance since returning to Dortmund, permanent suitors may be few, complicating both clubs’ transfer dynamics.

As Dortmund formulates their transfer strategy, Sancho’s uncertain future complicates the continuing issue, putting both the player and Manchester United at a crossroads.
