The fans don’t see it, you guys don’t see it, but I think the way the manager works on the pitch, the things he does with us, it’s only going to get better.”-Cole Palmer responds to Chelsea transfer criticism after Newcastle United win
Cole Palmer is adamant that Chelsea has a strong team after their 3-2 victory over Newcastle United on Monday night.
After yet another impactful performance at Stamford Bridge, where he assisted and scored a fantastic goal from the edge of the box, Palmer was named Man of the Match.
Chelsea has been under fire for the condition of their team after spending over £1 billion on new hires during Todd Boehly’s tenure as manager of Stamford Bridge.
Palmer is certain that the present team will prove sceptics wrong despite requests from supporters for the team to spend even more in the summer transfer window in order to improve.
“Getting points is crucial for us because we’ve had some tough results, including the [Carabao] Cup final against Liverpool, Wolves, and many other games,” After the victory over Newcastle, Palmer spoke with Sky Sports.
We need it as a young squad because we will all make mistakes; it’s just a matter of moving on to the next one and the next. I believe we have demonstrated some enthusiasm, bravery, winning the second balls, resisting bullying, and simply having the courage to play.

Palmer said, “I think there’s so much talent at Chelsea,” in response to a question concerning the criticism Chelsea has received this season.
“I believe that the way the manager works on the pitch and with us will only get better, even though the fans and you guys don’t see it.”
“I’m sure you’ll see it sooner or later; if not next season, then the season after. It’s a project, everyone’s young, and everyone’s trying to play well.”
Palmer was questioned once more about his opinion that Chelsea has to make more acquisitions in order to get better in a different interview with Stadium Astro.
The former forward for Manchester City, nevertheless, is certain that Chelsea can advance with their present team.
Palmer remarked, “There is a lot of quality there, not just me.”
“Hopefully the team can gel a bit more than everyone has seen—we have a tonne of other players.”
