Chelsea could once again look to sell players to Saudi Arabian in the summer transfer window following Todd Boehly’s meeting with Saudi Pro League director of football Michael Emenalo.
Multiple news sources say that Fulham will send Chelsea £4 million as part of their loan deal for Armando Broja.
To get more playing time for the rest of the season, Broja joined Fulham during the January transfer window.
But the 22-year-old has only come on as a replacement four times in Premier League games for Fulham and has yet to start a game.
MailOnline says that Chelsea let Fulham sign Broja for free as long as the scorer played in at least 60% of all of their remaining games.
The story also says that Broja will have to start all 10 of Fulham’s remaining games or the club will have to pay Chelsea a £4m loan fee.
Max Kilman of Wolverhampton Wanderers tackles Armando Broja of Fulham.
The run of Rodrigo Muniz, who has scored five goals in his last six games, makes it hard for Broja to get a spot in Fulham’s attack.
There will also be Raul Jimenez’s return to Fulham. He has been out with a leg injury since the end of January.
Last month, Marco Silva talked about Broja’s situation at Fulham and said, “He has to wait for his chance.”
“We really think he belongs here.” He got there on the day before the Burnley game, almost too late, and only played for 20 minutes before Rodrigo scored. Rodrigo then scored twice in the game after that.
“Unfortunately for him, he was sick last week and couldn’t play, but now he’s healthy again, and I’ll figure out the best way to start the game.”
“He has to work hard at a new club with a new style, and he needs time to get used to it and understand it.” It takes a while, but we can tell he’s good.
