“The Referee helped them to win us” Liverpool Boss Jurgen expresses his disappointment as he believes Manchester United player bruno Fernandez should have been shown a straight Red card and a foul given, after a challenge from bruno Fernandez He Claims bruno Fernandez should have been sent out 😮

Lee Dixon has offered insights into why he thinks Bruno Fernandes escaped a second yellow card during the Liverpool versus Manchester United match at Old Trafford in the FA Cup quarter-final. Despite United initially taking the lead with Scott McTominay’s goal, Liverpool quickly equalized with strikes from Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah just before halftime.

Following Salah’s goal, Fernandes was booked, and he was involved in a tackle on Dominik Szoboszlai early in the second half. Despite the foul, Fernandes wasn’t shown a second yellow card, and VAR didn’t intervene. Dixon, providing co-commentary, described Fernandes as “fortunate” not to be sent off.

Dixon noted the absence of Liverpool players surrounding the referee, suggesting that Fernandes’s actions were common on the pitch and usually scrutinized by VAR. He believed Fernandes would have received a yellow card if the incident had occurred elsewhere on the field or if he hadn’t already been booked.
