“They can score as many goals as they like, they’ll end up being the second or third best by the end of the season”– Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola reveals his judgment on Liverpool’s chances of winning the Premier League title alongside Arsenal this season, claiming he has TWO players he will utilize to knock Liverpool out of the title race.

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, recently shared insights on the performances of Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp and Arsenal under Mikel Arteta amid the Premier League title race heating up. Guardiola highlighted the impressive goal-scoring records of both clubs, particularly noting Arsenal’s recent victories over Newcastle United, Burnley, West Ham United, and Liverpool, as well as Liverpool’s wins against Luton Town, Brentford, Burnley, and Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final.

 

In a statement quoted by BeanyManSports, Guardiola acknowledged his awareness of how these opponents play, specifically mentioning Aston Villa, Arsenal, and Liverpool. With Manchester City vying for the Premier League title, Guardiola emphasized the strength of his team, pointing out Erling Haaland’s resurgence as a goal scorer and Kevin De Bruyne’s stellar performances.

 

Guardiola also touched upon De Bruyne’s upcoming contract negotiations and Manchester City’s recent success in the Premier League, winning four out of their last five matches. Despite trailing Liverpool by one point and leading Arsenal by one point, Guardiola expressed confidence in his team’s ability to perform during the crucial stages of the season, drawing on their history of winning multiple Premier League titles.

 

He believes that Manchester City’s players possess the experience and determination necessary to maintain their winning streak and ultimately reclaim the title once again.
