Manchester City Pep Guardiola is keen on signing €115 million-rated star to improve Manchester City’s midfield personal terms has been agreed with the player almost done deal

Bruno Guimaraes, a midfielder for Newcastle United, is allegedly a top target for Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Since joining the Premier League in January 2022 after reportedly paying €42.10 million to move from Lyon, the Brazilian number six has made an impression. In 97 games for the Magpies, he has played deep-lying midfield and contributed 13 goals and 13 assists.

A deal for the 26-year-old would cost more than €100 million, according to fichajes.net. Newcastle United will want to keep Guimaraes despite the expensive cost, pressuring rival teams to pay the player’s €115 million release clause (via PSG Talk).

Guimaraes is an essential component of the team’s setup and is under contract with his present employers till 2028. Given Manchester City’s recent success, a transfer to the Etihad may be alluring, but the Brazilian would most likely have to take a backseat to Rodri in that role.

Joining the Premier League and European champions may seem like a dangerous move without minutes guaranteed. Still, acquiring the midfield player won’t be easy because he appears to be attracting interest from a number of other European teams.

According to the previously cited rumour, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain have all considered signing the Newcastle United player. In 40 appearances this season in all competitions, Guimaraes has three goals and seven assists.

The Magpies are 10th in the league despite his services, and they won’t be repeating their top-four performance from the previous season. This can make the gifted midfield player consider his choices.

John Stones, a defender for Manchester City, is reportedly doubtful for Sunday’s Premier League matchup against championship rivals Arsenal (March 31). The league-leading Gunners are only one point ahead of the Cityzens, who will try to catch up to them this weekend.

Tuesday (2-2, March 26) during his country’s friendly match against Belgium, Stones sustained a muscular injury.

Against Belgium, Stones played just ten minutes before Joe Gomez, a defender for Liverpool, took his place. The Daily Star claims that the centre half will have difficulty getting back to full fitness before Arsenal visits Manchester (via Metro).

The 29-year-old has made 22 appearances for Manchester City this season in a variety of tournaments, scoring one goal and providing an assist. Due to a previous hip ailment, he has already missed 12 games for club and country this season.
