Former Chelsea manager and Chelsea player Frank Lampard has been appointed as the manager of this shocking Premier League Club

According to a recent report, Frank Lampard is an unexpected contender to take over as head coach of the Canada national team.

Prior to co-hosting the 2026 World Cup with Mexico and the United States, the Canadian Football Federation allegedly put Lampard on a management shortlist, according to The Telegraph.

Following his brief and ineffective tenure as Chelsea’s temporary manager at the end of the previous campaign, the former England international has been unemployed.

According to the article, Lampard, 45, is eager to return to management should the proper opportunity arise, and Canada reportedly wants to speak with him.

It’s unclear if he will find the position in Canada appealing.

Following John Herdman’s resignation from the position last summer to take over at Toronto FC, Mauro Biello has been Canada’s interim manager. .

Although Lampard had a year in the US with New York City FC at the end of his playing career, he has never held a managerial position abroad.
