Josko Gvardiol reveals what really happened with Man City penalty debacle as defender misses out on Premier League history

The defender loses out on Premier League history as Josko Gvardiol exposes the true facts behind the Man City penalty incident.

Star player Josko Gvardiol of Manchester City explained why, despite having previously scored two goals, he turned down the chance to take a penalty against Fulham.

Gvardiol has been playing brilliantly, scoring goals to help City get closer to winning the Premier League for the fourth time in a row.

In his previous seven games, the defender has scored five goals, two of which came when City defeated Fulham 4-0 to reclaim the top spot in the Premier League.

But instead of taking advantage of the chance to score a third from the spot, the former RB Leipzig player handed the ball to the team’s more reliable scorer, Julian Alvarez.

This was true even though Gvardiol had one more successful penalty kick to create Premier League history—since the league’s founding, no defender has ever scored a hat-trick.

In response to the event, he told TNT Sport, “I’m glad to have scored two more goals.” Obviously, a blank slate. We were talking about my receiving the punishment.

“I answered that, of course, I would want to take it, but we already know that he takes. Ultimately, Julian scored the goal, and I’m glad about it.”

Gvardiol went on to say, “No, it’s normal,” in response to his recent, unusually persistent behavior in front of goal. In sports, it’s common.

“I’m playing well right now, and the season is almost over. Three more championship games. Our readiness is crucial.
