Manchester City owner has named Pep Guardiola replacement if he leaves Manchester City this summer

Roberto De Zerbi says he disagrees with Pep Guardiola on one issue regarding Manchester City.
Roberto De Zerbi has said that he disagrees with a recent statement by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
After two significant games in the Champions League and FA Cup, the Manchester club will return to Premier League action on Thursday with an away encounter against Brighton & Hove Albion.
In the lead-up to the game, the Seagulls boss revealed one point on which he differed with Guardiola.
De Zerbi mentioned this in his last news conference ahead of tomorrow’s meeting at the AMEX Stadium, after Guardiola’s statement that his players were very exhausted in last weekend’s FA Cup match after playing 120 minutes against Real Madrid only three days before.
He inquired, “Are they tired?” I guess not. They played against Chelsea on Saturday, and tomorrow is Thursday, and they are used to playing so many games.

After making 846 precise passes and taking 33 efforts at goal in their 1-1 draw with Carlo Ancelotti’s team last week, we believe that losing on penalties would have taken a lot out of the City players, both physically and psychologically.
To then fly to Wembley three days later and play in a semi-final, it’s understandable that Guardiola thought his players weren’t in the ideal position to face Chelsea, particularly given that they had one of the Premier League’s smallest rosters.
Is De Zerbi correct to question Guardiola?
While De Zerbi is correct that City are accustomed to playing a lot of games during the season, we believe that any team would struggle with playing 120 minutes and then having to play at Wembley only three days later.
Looking forward to Thursday’s game, ideally everyone in the City team has recharged and is ready to challenge for another Premier League crown.
