“I don’t care what he said his an old man looking for attention in the media the other time he called me a league 2 player but I shut his mouth

Erling Haaland of Manchester City responded to Roy Keane with a no-nonsense game after he scored four goals against Wolves, including a hat-trick in the first half.
Back in March, Keane compared the Norwegian’s overall play to “that of a League Two player” following his inability to have an effect against Premier League title challengers Arsenal.
After an atypically quiet display in front of goal, Keane swiftly turned his focus to the 23-year-old striker in his post-match analysis of the encounter, speaking with Sky Sports.
He said, “The levels of his general play are very bad.” Not just today, anyway. I believe he’s been cutting stuff off, headers, etc. He is the world’s finest in front of goal.
“However, it is very subpar for a player of his caliber in general. He needs to do better at it, not just today. In my opinion, he resembles a player from League Two. His whole performance needs to be better, and it will in the upcoming years.”
In retaliation for Keane, City manager Pep Guardiola called Haaland “the finest striker in the world” and said he was essential to the team’s treble-winning season the previous year.
During an interview with Sky Bet on the Stick To Football podcast, the former Republic of Ireland midfielder assured listeners that Guardiola had talked to his staff about the player’s performance.
“I don’t see the big issue; I think Erling Haaland is a terrific striker and I commend Manchester City and him every week. However, he plays more like a League Two player overall. I don’t expect anyone to agree with me, so I’m delighted you don’t either,” he said.
“He never plays close to his potential on a weekly basis. I stated as much: [He is] the top striker and goal scorer. He is the world’s top striker and goal scorer when it comes to link-up play, laying the ball off, and occasionally giving teammates choices that they don’t take. But when it comes to other aspects of his game, he plays like a League Two player.
The fact that Arsenal managed to contain the game throughout made it difficult, but overall, I don’t believe what I said was really significant.
