Erig Ten Hag Drags Bruno Fernandez away From Sky Sports Interview As he was discussing his Man United Future

For their last home game of the 2023–24 season, the Portuguese midfielder, who has been one of United’s bright spots in an otherwise disappointing year, was back in the starting lineup.

And for his normally inventive performance, which included five opportunities and eleven crucial passes into the final third, the 29-year-old was named Player of the Match.

According to sources, several teams are vying for the midfield player’s signature before the summer transfer market opens because of his pivotal position for United in the previous months.

Fernandes may be “attracting interest” from Bayern Munich and Inter Milan, according to a report from the Manchester Evening News. Indeed, just now, Cristiano Ronaldo pushed his Portugal colleague to sign with Al Nassr.

After United’s victory against Newcastle on Wednesday, Fernandes talked about their difficult season and his will to defeat Manchester City in this month’s FA Cup final.

Evidently, the work is still ongoing. The FA Cup final is the greatest game of the season and we still have one Premier League game left,” he said to Sky Sports.

“This season has not been easy. We are all aware of that, as the table illustrates. We’ve had incredible support from the supporters the whole season. We are all grateful for what they have been doing for us.

“They [fans] deserve it, and we want to do better and differently.”
“They have been fantastic for us, and we had to do something. We have been trying, but the results don’t indicate that,” Fernandes continued. Even though everyone has been working hard and giving it their all, we still need to do more.

In his post-match interview, the midfield player was then questioned about if he would “bring this team to where they want to be.”

Fernandes went on, “I will stay here till I’ve stated, the club needs to want me.”

“As I previously stated, I don’t want to be a player the club doesn’t want to have because I feel like they want me to be a part of their future. I will go if they decide not to have me for any reason, however…”

Erik ten Hag then interrupted Fernandes mid-sentence to take him out of the meeting so he could participate in the team’s lap of honor.

Shortly afterward, Sky Sports made the decision to air Ten Hag’s remarks to the Old Trafford crowd.

The video down below shows that there are a few boos audible.

He remarked, “I want to thank you everyone for the amazing support during the season.” “As you are aware, the season wasn’t easy, but one thing never changed: your support for the squad.”
