Manchester City to get this severe punishment if found guilty of 115 financial breaches. This would be a complete disaster for them! 😳, that means Arsenal or Liverpool is gonna win the league.

Manchester City are on the brink of claiming their fourth consecutive Premier League title following a 2-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday evening.

Pep Guardiola’s squad now leads Arsenal by one point after securing a crucial victory in London, reinforcing their position as the title favorites.

However, this triumph comes amid City’s ongoing legal issues involving 115 charges of alleged financial misconduct announced in February 2023. The club firmly denies all allegations.

The specific breaches of the Premier League’s Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations against City include:

– 54 charges for not providing accurate financial data from 2009-10 to 2017-18.

– 14 charges for not accurately reporting player and manager payments from 2009-10 to 2017-18.

– 5 charges for failing to comply with UEFA’s rules, including FFP, from 2013-14 to 2017-18.

– 7 charges for violating the Premier League’s PSR rules from 2015-16 to 2017-18.

– 35 charges for not cooperating with Premier League investigations from December 2018 to February 2023.

Fans of rival clubs are eagerly waiting for a final decision on City’s potential sanctions, but the timeline for a verdict is still unclear.

Sky News sports correspondent Rob Harris recently reported: “The Premier League has indicated that a hearing is expected within the next few months.”

Premier League CEO Richard Masters previously mentioned that a hearing date for City’s case has been scheduled for the “near future.”

Addressing the length of the investigation, Masters highlighted the complexity of the charges and noted that different cases take varied amounts of time to resolve.

If found guilty, City could face severe penalties including hefty fines, points deductions, expulsion from the Premier League, or even the stripping of titles.
