Anthony Gordon to Liverpool Is done deal 😲😱 He could be ‘on his way’ to Anfield. 😳 This is the amount to pay..! What a signing he’d be 😱 is he a good replacement for Thiago

Manchester City and Liverpool are both keen on Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic.

The two Premier League powerhouses admire the England international, who has had a standout season with Newcastle.

This summer, several Newcastle players have attracted interest from top clubs, including Alexander Isak, who has caught Arsenal’s eye, and Bruno Guimaraes, who is being watched by Manchester City, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain.

Gordon, who joined Newcastle from Everton, has shown remarkable development.

His excellent performances earned him a spot in Gareth Southgate’s England squad. Now, less than a year after his transfer, he is already being linked with another move.

In a recent Q&A with The Athletic, David Ornstein confirmed Manchester City’s interest in Gordon, stating, “Liverpool, like Manchester City and many other clubs, really like Anthony Gordon.”

However, Ornstein noted that Liverpool are unlikely to pursue Gordon since Newcastle have no plans to sell him, and any potential transfer fee would be very high.

Ornstein is confident that Gordon will remain at Newcastle this summer.

Having risen through Everton’s academy, a move to Liverpool might be controversial for Gordon.

Joining Manchester City could be tempting as it would give him the chance to play with some of the best players globally and compete for titles.

At this stage in his career, though, staying at Newcastle would be best for Gordon’s development.

His progress under Eddie Howe has been notable, and continuing with Newcastle will help him improve further before potentially moving to a bigger club. Gordon is on the right track, showing maturity and enhancing his skills.
