FC Barcelona has triggered an £80 million release clause to lure a top player from Liverpool to Barcelona this summer as player confirms Interest to play at Barcelona He will be Barcelona new signing in the month of June!😳🙀 96% of all FC Barcelona fans are extremely happy with this 😳🙀

Transfer news journalist Ben Jacobs recently addressed speculation surrounding Liverpool’s Luis Diaz and Thiago Alcantara potentially moving to Barcelona this summer.

In his column for CaughtOffside, Jacobs clarified that Liverpool has no plans to sell Diaz and Barcelona’s financial situation makes such a transfer improbable.

Jacobs emphasized that Diaz, who is under contract with Liverpool until 2027 and is a crucial player for the team, is not for sale despite persistent links to Barcelona.

Although Diaz’s father has mentioned his son’s aspiration to play in Spain, it does not indicate an immediate desire to leave Liverpool.

Barcelona’s financial difficulties mean they would need to sell key players to afford Diaz. Jacobs noted that while players like Jules Kounde and Raphinha could potentially be sold, neither is willing to leave.

Other potential sales include Andreas Christensen and Ronald Araujo, but significant financial restructuring would be necessary before pursuing high-profile targets like Diaz.

Regarding Thiago Alcantara, Jacobs explained that the veteran midfielder, who is set to leave Liverpool at the end of his contract, is still weighing his options.

Although Thiago prefers to remain in Europe, no final decision has been made. Previous attempts by Saudi clubs to sign him in January were unsuccessful, and while he has been linked to Barcelona, it is too early to predict his next move.

Jacobs’ insights suggest that although Diaz may be interested in a future move to Barcelona, financial constraints and Liverpool’s firm stance make a transfer this summer very unlikely.

Diaz remains dedicated to his role at Liverpool, continuing to make significant contributions. Meanwhile, Thiago’s future is uncertain, with his preference to stay in Europe influencing his decisions.
