Fans are stunned by the news that was reported by Fabrizio Romano that Manchester United is finally set to make a massive new deal with Mason Greenwood Finally, they have assured us that he is coming back home 😍😳🙀
Mason Greenwood has updated Getafe fans as his season-long loan at the Spanish club concludes.
Greenwood expressed his appreciation to Getafe supporters, marking the end of his loan period. His future remains uncertain, with rumors linking him to various Italian and Spanish clubs, as well as a potential return to Manchester United next season.
Since his arrest in January 2022 on charges of attempted rape, controlling behavior, and assault—which he has consistently denied and were later dropped—Greenwood has not played for Manchester United.
The forward has attracted interest from clubs like Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Juventus, along with two Premier League teams. Getafe, where he played on loan, hoped to keep him.
However, Greenwood’s farewell message on Instagram suggests he is unlikely to stay with the La Liga club.
He wrote, “Incredibly grateful to the Getafe family and fans for an amazing season. Thank you for making me feel welcomed and one of your own.
I enjoyed every second, alongside my teammates and club. A bittersweet ending, but it was a pleasure to play for you. I wish you all the best.”
During his time with Getafe, Greenwood made 36 appearances and scored ten goals. His final match was a 2-1 defeat to Mallorca.
Getafe’s sporting director, Torres, commented on Greenwood’s situation, stating, “Regarding Manchester United, from what we heard last week, if a good offer comes along, they would want to sell because he is not going back there.
We’ll have to wait until the end of June. The people and the coach are very happy with him. I think he will remain with us for another season, or at least until January. He is a good footballer.”
