“Him and Erik ten Hag planned it all along. He didn’t just left. That’s why he haven’t joined any club yet. Now he is back to help the club” – David de Gea turns down shock Shocking move to a Premier League Club return as he finally makes a shocking move back to the club. Even the players are shocked but Ten Hag wasn’t. No one saw this move coming 😳😳 Welcome back 😳🥹❤️

A recent report highlights that David de Gea declined an opportunity to join a Premier League team during the January transfer window. The Spanish goalkeeper, who departed Manchester United last summer after a distinguished 12-year career, is currently a free agent. Despite rumors of a potential move to Saudi Arabia, De Gea has yet to finalize a deal in that region.

Nottingham Forest showed interest in the veteran goalkeeper, hoping to bring him on for the remainder of the season. However, the 33-year-old opted to reject their short-term contract, preferring to wait for a more suitable opportunity.

Forest’s search for a dependable goalkeeper continued beyond De Gea. The club considered Aaron Ramsdale from Arsenal, who had been relegated to a backup role following David Raya’s rise to the starting position. Ultimately, Nottingham Forest signed Matz Sels from Strasbourg on deadline day for £5.1 million, securing him with a three-and-a-half-year contract.

With Sels now in the team, Nottingham Forest’s goalkeeping lineup includes Matt Turner, Wayne Hennessey, and Odysseas Vlachodimos. De Gea’s decision to turn down Forest means he remains available on the market. As a free agent, he can still join any club despite the transfer window’s closure.

Throughout his celebrated tenure at Manchester United, De Gea made 545 appearances in all competitions, playing a crucial role in the club’s success. He also earned 45 caps for Spain, reflecting his significant experience and talent. De Gea’s impressive track record makes him an appealing option for clubs in need of an experienced goalkeeper.

As De Gea continues to seek a new club, his vast experience and consistent top-level performances make him an attractive candidate for potential teams. His decision to decline Nottingham Forest’s offer indicates a strategic approach, aiming for an opportunity that better aligns with his career aspirations and personal objectives.
