Ex-City player completes transfer to Chelsea
Just a year after leaving City, Enzo Maresca, a former assistant manager for City, has officially taken over as Chelsea’s new head coach.
Before taking over as Leicester City’s manager last year, the Italian coach served as Pep Guardiola’s assistant during the season that saw them achieve a treble. At the first attempt, he guided the Foxes to the Championship championship and their immediate return to the Premier League.
However, he will now be in the Chelsea dugout next season rather than leading Leicester versus City. He agreed to a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge, with an additional year’s option.
