Former Real Madrid coach and triple European Champion Zinedine Zidane is set to become the manager of Manchester United after Erig Ten Hag sacking today. Pep Guardiola and Arne Slot is in Serious trouble now, especially for Liverpool as they might avenge their 7:0 defeat to Liverpool 💔😱, The most high-profile manager appointment! 😱

Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha considers Zinedine Zidane to be the perfect candidate to rejuvenate the club’s fortunes.

While Saha acknowledges the efforts of current manager Erik ten Hag, he believes Zidane’s high standards could provide a critical boost to the team’s mindset.

Co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is uncertain about Ten Hag’s future following a season in which United won the FA Cup but finished ninth in the Premier League, their lowest ever position.

In an interview with OLBG (via the Mirror), Saha endorsed his fellow Frenchman: “Zidane is the manager I would like to see at Manchester United for obvious reasons; he would excel, and he’s eager to return to football. I think it will be difficult for him to stay out for another year.”

“They seem to adopt a different strategy than Zidane would. Too many players at United lower their standards and lack consistency. Success requires ten players who are obsessed with getting back to the top.”

While Saha commends Ten Hag’s efforts at Old Trafford, he believes Zidane would be a “step ahead.”

The former Real Madrid manager, who secured two La Liga titles and three consecutive Champions League trophies, has been out of work since 2021.

Champions League winner Saha, who played with Zidane when France finished second in the 2006 World Cup, described Zidane as a “very diligent worker” who “never demanded anything from his management.”

United recently restructured their boardroom team to tackle longstanding issues, but recruitment remains a significant concern.

Brazilian winger Antony, who cost £80 million from Ajax, has struggled to justify his price tag, and there are concerns about the large contracts awarded to veterans like Casemiro and Raphael Varane.

Saha believes Zidane’s ability to inspire a change in mentality, as demonstrated during his time with Real Madrid, could be transformative for United.

However, Saha notes that if Zidane were to take over at Old Trafford, he would face challenges with the current transfer strategy.

Despite this, Saha is confident that Zidane’s demand for maximum effort from his players could lead to greater success.
