On the same day that Liverpool confirmed the exits of Thiago Alcantara and Joel Matip, the club also announced the release of several academy players.

Liverpoolfc.com reported that Adam Lewis, Melkamu Frauendorf, Mateusz Musialowski, Nathan Giblin, Francis Gyimah, Luke Hewitson, Niall Osborne, and Cody Pennington have all left the club.

While some of these players may not be widely known, Cody Pennington is noted for a memorable moment at Kirkby, which unfortunately marked the peak of his time at Liverpool.
