Manchester City Star has been kicked out of the England Squad for the Euros 2024 squad by Garath Southgate
Gareth Southgate gave an explanation for his selection of Luke Shaw among his 26 players for the Euro 2024 team, leaving out Harry Maguire, Jack Grealish, and James Maddison.
Maguire may have been able to contribute in some way to England’s tournament squads under his three prior leaderships, but Southgate told reporters that having him in the squad would upset the “balance” of the team.
He also clarified why Maddison, who stated that he believed he could have “provided something else” in response to his exclusion, will not be traveling with Grealish, despite the player making a superb cameo and assisting against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday night.
Talking about the one “gamble” in his team, Southgate mentioned Shaw, who hasn’t touched a ball since February, and provided an update on when the Manchester United left-back would be eligible for the competition.

Regarding Jack Grealish and James Maddison’s absence…
“The truth is that some of our players have been playing really well throughout the league season, but we believe that other players have had better seasons, especially in the last six months or so.
The previous night’s incredible performances highlighted a few of those points, and we have a ton of possibilities in the attacking half of the field, each with a little variation.
“As a staff, we have discussed these conversations several times in an effort to be fair and provide the appropriate justification.
“We support our choices, but we also acknowledge that there was another option. The lads are wonderful team players, charismatic individuals, and a pleasure to work with.
“Having to break that news to them is a horrible thing.”
