Manchester City has been banned from the UEFA Champions League after violating double Club rules 💔. UEFA takes decision on banning Man Utd, Man City from Europa League, UCL.
UEFA has made a decision regarding the participation of Manchester United and Manchester City in the Europa League and Champions League.
The Times reports that UEFA has granted permission for both clubs to compete in European competitions alongside their affiliated teams, though with certain conditions.
UEFA’s current rules prohibit teams with shared ownership from playing in the same competition. Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who owns Nice (qualified for the Europa League) and holds a minority stake in Manchester United, and the City Football Group, which owns both Manchester City and Girona (qualified for the Champions League), are affected by this rule.
Despite these regulations, UEFA will allow Manchester United and Manchester City to participate in European tournaments next season, provided that Nice and Girona are operated under a “blind trust.”
UEFA’s Club Financial Control Board (CFCB) is expected to finalize this decision by Monday.
