Manchester United has announced that Thier FLOP player Marcus Rashford will leave the club under TWO CONDITIONS
The only way Manchester United would think about moving Marcus Rashford is if the player himself says he wants to leave and there is a “substantial” offer.
During the 2023–24 season, Rashford has had trouble keeping up his good form. In 40 games for Manchester United, he has only scored eight goals and set up five others.
Several news outlets said on Monday that United is willing to let Rashford go as part of their plans to rebuild over the summer. The only players they don’t want to let go are Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, and Rasmus Hojlund.
Because of this, Rashford could be sold, but The Athletic say this would rest on two things happening at the same time.
For United to accept a huge deal for the forward, he would have to demand to leave the club.
United wants to keep Rashford and help him get back to the form he had in 2022–23, when he scored 30 goals and set up 10 others in 56 games, which was the best season of his career.
90min reported earlier this year that Paris Saint-Germain has Rashford on a wishlist of four players they might use to replace Kylian Mbappe. Rashford met with PSG in 2022 and 2023, but he felt like he was just using their interest to get a new deal with United. He ended up signing a deal worth £325,000 a week last summer.
Erik ten Hag, the boss of Manchester United, has openly backed Rashford, who recently spoke out against the mean things people have said about him this season.
“I really feel bad for Rashy,” Ten Hag said before Burnley’s 1-1 draw on Saturday. “He scored 30 goals last year, which was the best season of his career.”
“He didn’t give the performances this season, and then people are very harsh.” I believe we should support him. Everybody should help him and push him to reach the same level as last year.
“I believe he needs help. Everyone knows what he can do. We all need to help him and push him at the same time. It’s possible for him to do better this year; we saw that when he was really great last year.
