Thiago Alcantara, at 33, has chosen to retire, ending a distinguished career with top football clubs.

He began his professional journey with Barcelona B in 2008 and quickly advanced to the first team. In 2013, he transferred to Bayern Munich, where he spent seven triumphant years before moving to Liverpool in 2020.

Despite his exceptional skills, persistent injuries, particularly in the 2023/24 season, limited his playing time.

Throughout his career, Thiago amassed numerous accolades, including four La Liga titles and a Champions League victory with Barcelona, seven Bundesliga titles and another Champions League win with Bayern Munich, and an FA Cup with Liverpool.

His retirement decision stems from recurring hip and muscle injuries that hindered his ability to consistently contribute to Liverpool.

Looking forward, Thiago aims to remain in the football world, potentially pursuing a career in coaching or management to utilize his vast experience and knowledge of the sport.
