Heartbreaking news have been announced for Liverpool legend Divock Origi has been confirmed today. 😢 You’ve got to feel sorry for him. So sad to hear this 💔
A former Liverpool player, once hailed as a cult hero at Anfield, has encountered a significant challenge at his current club.
Divock Origi, who left Liverpool for AC Milan two years ago, has seen his standing at the San Siro diminish, compounded by an unremarkable loan spell at Nottingham Forest last season.
Calciomercato reports that the 29-year-old has been left out of Milan’s senior squad for pre-season training and is instead training with the youth team alongside Fode Ballo-Toure.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, now a senior advisor to Milan’s owners, clarified that Origi and Ballo-Toure were included for the Milan Futuro team, not the first team.
Ibrahimovic confirmed that Origi does not feature in new head coach Paulo Fonseca’s plans, suggesting that the Belgian forward will likely seek a permanent move away from San Siro.
Since his departure from Liverpool, where he earned legendary status with crucial goals against teams like Everton, Newcastle, Barcelona, and Tottenham, Origi’s performance has declined, netting only three goals in 58 appearances.
With two years remaining on his Milan contract, Origi is now waiting for a club to offer him a chance to escape his current situation.
A player who has provided countless unforgettable moments deserves better than to be sidelined by his club’s management.
Ideally, he will either reignite his career at the San Siro or find a new team where his skills are properly appreciated.
