Manchester United has reached an agreement to transfer Mason Greenwood to Marseille, as disclosed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Tuesday night.

Last season, Greenwood was on loan at Getafe, where he scored eight goals and contributed six assists in LaLiga. However, upon returning to Manchester United’s Carrington training centre, the 22-year-old was told he would be put up for sale.

Greenwood is set to sign a contract with Marseille that will run until June 2029.

Romano reported: “The contract offered by Olympique Marseille to Mason Greenwood is valid until June 2029. Manchester United will have a sell-on clause close to 50% for any future sale from June 2025 to June 2029. The deal between the clubs is finalized, and salary details, including bonuses, are being discussed.”
