That game really got hard to watch starting from the 30th minute. There is no real hunger to score goals or the strive for victory. It felt like they were already tired before the game started. They are only playing for their wages” – This is according to Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand as he blows hot on the performance of Manchester United players during the Premier League match against Liverpool as he claims they are playing football for their huge wage and gives advice to Sir Jim Ratcliffe to meet such terrible performances with wage cuts. He’s always negative but I think he’s right this time 😳🥲 The hunger to score goals was not there for our team whilst our visitors were trying to score goals at every turn of the game 😳💔 Something has to be done about the motivation of our player else we will just have another terrible season ahead of us 😳💔

Manchester United have been advised to rethink their pursuit of Brentford’s leading striker, Ivan Toney, despite previous links to several top-tier Premier League clubs.

The England forward was anticipated to be in high demand this summer, but so far, no major club, including Manchester United, has made a concrete offer for him.

Toney had been frequently linked with teams like Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United. However, Tottenham chose to sign Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth, and Arsenal and Chelsea have not shown serious interest in Toney, prompting questions about his suitability for these top clubs.

Ex-Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has expressed doubts about Toney’s compatibility with the club. Ferdinand is uncertain whether the 28-year-old striker fits with United’s present strategy and long-term vision.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Ferdinand said, “I personally wouldn’t go after someone like Ivan Toney. I think his age and profile don’t align with what the club needs.”

“It doesn’t seem like the right match to me. He was expected to be the type of player who could move to Arsenal or Chelsea for around £100 million or £80 million, but now there are no offers. I find that puzzling. For Manchester United, he just doesn’t seem like a good fit.”

Toney had an impressive 2022-23 Premier League campaign, ranking as the third-highest goal scorer with 20 goals in 33 appearances, just behind Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.

Manchester United have already strengthened their attacking lineup this summer by signing Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee, adding to a roster that includes Rasmus Hojlund.

However, recent reports suggest that the club is still in search of another forward before the transfer window closes.

With the window’s closure approaching, attention remains fixed on Manchester United’s next move.
