Liverpool manager Arne Slot has made a £110m offer to sign Napoli superstar player to strengthen his attacking force This would break their transfer record! 😳

Arne Slot has reportedly set his sights on a top-tier player that would require Liverpool to shatter their transfer record this summer.

According to the Daily Express, Slot’s primary target is Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. The Italian club’s CEO, Aurelio De Laurentiis, is asking for a substantial fee of £110m for the striker.

Liverpool’s management appears ready to support Slot with a considerable budget for his inaugural transfer window, likely focusing a significant portion on securing the Nigerian forward, who is rumored to be keen on departing Serie A.

The 25-year-old has caught the eye of multiple clubs, but his high price tag has complicated negotiations. Talks with Paris Saint-Germain have hit a snag, and Arsenal has completely withdrawn from the race.

Should Liverpool succeed in bringing Osimhen on board before the transfer window closes in a month, it would serve as a strong counter to their failure to secure Riccardo Calafiori, who recently signed with Arsenal despite Liverpool’s interest.

Osimhen managed to net 15 goals in 25 league matches during a challenging 2023/24 season for Napoli, following an outstanding 26-goal performance that helped them clinch the previous Serie A title.

While Osimhen’s prowess in European competitions is notable, Liverpool’s willingness to meet Napoli’s asking price would be a bold move, demanding immediate impact from the investment.

Interestingly, this acquisition could mean changes for Darwin Nunez, currently Liverpool’s most costly player, who might need to adapt to a new role or potentially face reduced playing time if Osimhen joins the squad.

Securing Osimhen would make a powerful statement for Liverpool, fulfilling Slot’s ambitions, although it seems challenging at present.
