Liverpool’s efforts to secure new signings have yet to bear fruit, but it appears the club is nearing the exit of another player.

Bobby Clark is reportedly on the brink of leaving Anfield, with Red Bull Salzburg having reached an agreement to purchase the 19-year-old for €11.65 million (Β£10 million).

After having two earlier bids rejected, Salzburg’s third offer finally met Liverpool’s expectations.

The agreement includes a sell-on clause and grants Liverpool the right of first refusal should Salzburg choose to sell Clark in the future.

Football insider Fabrizio Romano confirmed the transfer, sharing on social media that the young midfielder is set to join Pep Lijnders’ squad at Salzburg.

The transfer is expected to be finalized soon, with personal terms likely just a formality at this point.

As the transfer window draws to a close, Liverpool supporters are still awaiting news of incoming players, though it seems the club is currently more focused on player departures.
