Manchester United Star Player MCTOMINAY has officially left Manchester United to join this Shocking Rival
According to reports, Manchester United and Scott McTominay have reached an agreement to trade the midfield player.
This summer, there have been several rumors that the midfield player will be leaving Old Trafford. His agreement expires in 2025, however an extension of one year is possible.
The 27-year-old started in both of United’s Premier League debuts this season and came in as a substitute for 12 minutes during Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Brighton.
However, United has now made the decision to let him depart the team.
McTominay will be moving to Napoli for a reported sum of about €30 million, according to The Athletic.
The Scotland international’s 22-year relationship with United will come to an end with this move, provided McTominay and the Italian team reach an agreement. The transfer includes a sell-on clause from United.
Given that McTominay is an academy graduate and his sale would be recorded in the balance sheets as “pure profit,” it will help United avoid fines related to the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
The midfield player was the subject of many summer transfer requests from rival teams, including a rumored £20 million deal from Fulham, which the club turned down.
He scored 10 goals in all competitions last season, tied for third place among United’s top scorers, mostly because to his aerial prowess and late rushes into the box. On occasion, he even played center forward.
