VERY SAD Manchester City news has been announced this evening- Arsenal could be given the EPL Title after Man City breaches 115 Premier League Rules as EPL Giants set to be hit with 12 points Deductions. What a Big mess the got themselves into 😭😭

Manchester United and other Premier League teams could soon be financially backing the league’s ongoing legal case against Manchester City, according to *The Telegraph*.

This case has been developing for several years and focuses on allegations that Manchester City violated league regulations.

A key concern for these clubs is that any money they contribute to the legal proceedings will be “non-recoverable,” meaning it won’t be refunded, regardless of the case’s outcome.

The Premier League has accused Manchester City of 115 regulatory breaches between 2009 and 2023. According to the BBC, these include 54 counts of providing inaccurate financial information between the 2009-10 and 2017-18 seasons and 14 cases of misreporting payments to players and managers.

The charges also include accusations of breaking UEFA’s Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules and a failure to cooperate with the Premier League’s investigation from 2018 to 2023.

These allegations were first reported by the German publication *Der Spiegel*, although Manchester City has denied the accusations, claiming that the evidence was obtained illegally.

Central to the case is the claim that Manchester City inflated sponsorship agreements to conceal extra payments to players and managers, allegedly giving them a financial advantage that contributed to their recent successes, including their 2023 treble win under manager Pep Guardiola.

The case is expected to be heard privately, with a decision anticipated by early 2025. Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters has emphasized the importance of resolving this matter, which was made public in February 2023.

If Manchester City is found guilty, they could face severe consequences, such as relegation, points deductions, or substantial fines. Some analysts even speculate that the club could be stripped of past titles.

This would be particularly significant for Manchester United fans, as United finished second to City in three seasons during the period of the alleged rule-breaking.

If City’s titles are vacated, it could ignite a debate about whether Manchester United should be awarded those championships retroactively.

The recent case against Everton, where the Premier League spent £4.7 million on legal fees and imposed a points deduction, may set a precedent for Manchester City’s case.

Given the extent of City’s alleged rule breaches, legal costs are expected to be considerably higher, with all 20 Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, contributing to these expenses through deductions from the league’s central broadcast and commercial revenue.

For Manchester United supporters, investing in this legal case may be seen as worthwhile if it leads to sanctions against Manchester City and helps restore fairness to the competition, following years of perceived financial misconduct.
