Zinedine Zidane is set to Replace Xabi Alonso as Real Madrid Head Coach After Sacking news this morning

Spanish media reports suggest Real Madrid may be preparing a stunning offer to bring Zinédine Zidane back as manager.

Sources in Spain indicate the club is prepared to make significant compromises to persuade their former boss to return. Meanwhile, Xabi Alonso appears to be facing mounting difficulties, with reported tensions in the squad.

Spanish journalist Pepe Álvarez claims the most remarkable aspect involves Real potentially allowing Zidane to simultaneously manage both the club and France’s national team—an arrangement without precedent at elite level, demonstrating the enormous regard Madrid still holds for the French icon.

The proposal from club president Florentino Pérez reportedly gives Zidane complete autonomy to run the team while pursuing his ambition of leading Les Bleus.

Such an arrangement would be extraordinary and could reshape top-level football significantly. However, whether Zidane would actually accept such a demanding dual position remains questionable.

Zidane has long aspired to manage France, a challenging role that would demand his full attention as he works to reinvigorate the national side following their World Cup campaign and after more than a decade under Didier Deschamps. That alone would likely provide more than enough to occupy him.
