“We want a manager who will takeover our new project and Zinedine Zidane is at the top of our list. We cannot be performing like this in every match. The players are not happy with the coach so its time for him to go”-Manchester United Board has revealed that they have contacted Zidane for Manchester United job after falling out of patience with Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United is reportedly considering a potential replacement for Erik ten Hag following their 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. The loss has raised concerns about Ten Hag’s future at the club, with speculation linking figures like Gareth Southgate and Ruud van Nistelrooy to the position.

However, reports suggest the club’s management has already identified a preferred candidate should they decide to move on from Ten Hag. Before the current season, the club’s new co-owners, INEOS, were said to have met with several prominent managers after United’s disappointing eighth-place finish in the Premier League last season, their worst since 1992.

One name that reportedly stood out during these meetings was former Chelsea and Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel. A report from *The Daily Mail* in July claimed that Tuchel has emerged as the top choice to succeed Ten Hag. While the club ultimately decided to stick with Ten Hag, they were impressed by Tuchel’s vision for bringing United back to the top of European football.

At the time, Tuchel was taking a break from football after his time at Bayern, which removed him from immediate consideration. However, just three months later, the situation could change, and United may revisit Tuchel as a candidate if Ten Hag’s tenure comes to an end following the Spurs defeat.

Despite the growing rumors, Ten Hag remains confident in his role. After the loss, he assured reporters that neither he nor the club’s leadership is considering a managerial change, stating, “We made the decision to stay together in the summer—ownership, leadership, staff, and players. I have no concerns about my position.”
