“It’s good news they have gone back to him. He knows how to revive teams. I recommend him for the Glazers last but he declined the offer. But the New owners are going back to get him with a better offer to take the United Job” Sir Alex Ferguson reveals that Man Utd have currently ‘re-open’ talks with world-class manager who he recommended for the club to sign to replace Erik ten Hag and the New Manager.

Manchester United is reportedly preparing to revisit discussions with previous managerial candidates if Erik ten Hag’s time as manager comes to an end. Ten Hag’s position is under increasing pressure after a series of disappointing results, including a 3-0 home loss to Tottenham and a 3-3 Europa League draw with Porto, where United squandered a two-goal lead. These performances have raised concerns about his leadership, though reports suggest that the club is still considering a long-term approach regarding his future. Even a potential loss to Aston Villa may not result in an immediate managerial change.

The club, led by minority co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS representatives, had already explored alternative managers during the summer. Thomas Tuchel, who was approached back then, turned down the opportunity due to concerns over Manchester United’s internal structure. Tuchel remains without a club and could be approached again if Ten Hag is removed. His experience with top European teams makes him an appealing choice, but it’s unclear whether he would reconsider the offer.

Other candidates on Ratcliffe’s radar include former Chelsea manager Graham Potter and England’s national team coach Gareth Southgate, both praised for their player development skills. However, any managerial decision will be made collectively by the club’s leadership.

Inter Milan’s Simone Inzaghi has also been linked with United. However, Inzaghi reportedly declined the offer, preferring to stay at Inter, where he has achieved significant success. Another potential candidate is Brentford’s Thomas Frank, admired for his ability to maximize team performance with limited resources. United previously held talks with Frank ahead of their FA Cup victory last season, and his name has resurfaced as a possible successor.

Current assistant coach Ruud van Nistelrooy, a club legend and former PSV Eindhoven manager, is considered the frontrunner to replace Ten Hag if the latter is sacked. Van Nistelrooy’s familiarity with United’s culture and his managerial success in the Netherlands make him a strong contender. However, it is uncertain whether the club would promote him or seek a more seasoned candidate with European experience.

As Manchester United navigate a challenging period, Ten Hag’s future remains uncertain. The club’s leadership appears to be weighing long-term options while keeping an eye on potential managerial candidates, suggesting they are preparing for a possible tr

ansition.
