PGMOL has finally released the Video recording for David Coote insulting Liverpool Manager and players after a match he blew in the favor of Liverpool opponent. 😱 VIDEO | The Video Evidence is out and it’s one of the worst things I’ve ever watched. 😡

A video has emerged allegedly showing referee David Coote making profane comments about former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. In the footage, Coote, 42, reportedly uses inflammatory language to criticize Klopp and Liverpool.

Coote recently officiated Liverpool’s victory over Aston Villa, where he made a contentious decision, ruling that Leon Bailey’s tackle on Mo Salah did not warrant a foul. He was also the VAR official in the October 2020 incident where Everton’s Jordan Pickford caused a serious injury to Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk but received no punishment. These are among several decisions involving Liverpool that have raised eyebrows and may now receive renewed scrutiny.

Video obtained by Empire of the Kop appears to show Coote speaking to a friend about Liverpool’s performance, allegedly saying, “Liverpool were s**t.” When asked about Klopp, Coote reportedly used explicit language to insult the manager, referencing situations during a match against Burnley in lockdown.

The video also includes another individual disparaging Klopp, Liverpool, and Liverpool fans in general. In a follow-up clip, a man, allegedly Coote, asks for the footage not to be shared, despite a warning from a colleague to avoid harming his career.

While the context and timing of the recording are unclear, and it’s uncertain if the statements were serious or made in jest, some speculate the footage might be AI-generated, although this is unverified. If genuine, Coote’s comments could raise questions about his impartiality as a Premier League referee.

The PGMOL has launched an investigation into the incident. Ben Jacobs confirmed that Coote has been suspended from officiating while the inquiry is underway, with further updates expected as the situation

develops.
